Getting to Introdacqua

From Rome

Rome Ciampino Airport - 1 hrs 30 mins away

Easy Jet and Ryanair both offer low cost flights from the UK to Ciampino

Rome Fiumicino Airport - 2 hrs away

Fiumicino is Rome's international airport. It is much larger than Ciampino. British Airways offers flights here from various UK destinations and their pricing can be very competitive.

From Rome by car

Remember the motorways here are toll motorways and you will need cash about €10.5 from Rome. You must collect a ticket as you pass through the barriers. Don't try to use the telepass barrier as it won't open for you. But you don't need a ticket on the Grande Raccordo. You will come to the toll barriers about 3Km out of Rome on the main motorway.

Chiampino airport is virtually on the "Grande Raccordo" the orbital motorway around Rome.

From the airport turn right at the first roundabout at the airport gates and follow the green autostrada signs.

This short dual carriage way will take you to the Grande Raccordo.

Join the Grande Raccordo in the direction of Firenze, Pescara and L'Aquilla

At J14 take the A24/E80 to L'Aquila/Pescara. After about 40 minutes the motorway forks and you need to turn off the A24 and onto the A25 to Pescara; follow the signs to Pescara.

The best place to leave the motorway for Introdacqua is at Cocullo. The junction comes just after the long tunnel after the signs for Pescina.

If you miss this turning take the next exit for Sulmona.

From the Cucullo Junction

Initially follow the signs to Scanno/Sulmona. Don't go into Cocullo itself. Introdacqua is sign posted all the way although the signs can be difficult to see. In the first village of Anversa turn left towards Sulmona. You will pass the village of Bugnara. Stay on this road in the direction of Sulmona and eventually before Sulmona you will see a right turn sign posted to Introdacqua

When you turn off the main road you will drive for about 800m before you reach a Y junction by the war memorial and an F104 Jet. Carry straight on.

After 100m or so the main road will bend to the left deviate off the main road by carrying straight on into the centre of the village.

As you enter the main part of the old village you will pass a bank on your left hand side about 50m passed the bank on your right you will pass a water fountain with a yellow house behind it. This is Amorino.

If you have remembered to call us we will be at the house to welcome you.
