Getting to Introdacqua from Pescara
From Pescara
Pescara Airport - 50 mins away
Ryanair offers low cost flights from the UK to Pescara
Pescara is a coastal city on the east cost of Italy a short drive along quiet motorways from Introdacqua.
From Pescara by car
Remember the motorways here are toll motorways and you will need cash about €3.5 from Pescara. You must collect a ticket as you pass through the barriers. Don't try to use the telepass barrier as it won't open for you.
From the car hire car park turn right drive passed the front of the airport and then turn right again. Follow the signs to the autostrada.
You will drive a short distance about 2 miles along the side of the airport. You will eventually come to a roundabout where you will need to turn right follow this road for a short distance until you come to a second roundabout. Go straight on here and cross over the bridge in front of you. Follow the signs to Autostrade and be careful to aim for the Rome direction NOT Pescara. The Autostrade will take you onto the E80/A25 towards Rome.
Exit the motorway at the Sulmona Junction and follow the signs to Sulmona.
As you get into the outskirts of Sulmona follow the signs to Scanno/Bugnara and of course (if you can see them) Introdacqua.
Introdacqua is only a 10 minute drive from Sulmona.
After you pass over the railway line and have negotiated a sharp left hand bend you will be on the outskirts of Sulmona. The road then takes a right and is fairly straight for a couple of miles.
After 5 minutes or so the main road towards Bugnara and Scanno will take a sharp right turn but the road to Introdacqua is straight on.
When you turn off the main road you will drive for about 800m before you reach a Y junction by the war memorial and an F104 Jet. Carry straight on.
After 100m or so the main road will bend to the left deviate off the main road by carrying straight on into the centre of the village.
As you enter the main part of the old village you will pass a bank on your left hand side about 50m passed the bank on your right you will pass a water fountain with a yellow house behind it. This is Amorino.
If you have remembered to call us we will be at the house to welcome you.
Car Hire
Cars are easily hired from all three airports and the drive to Introdacqua is in the main on motorways. Italian motorways are much quieter than UK motorways although the ring road around Rome is very busy at peak times.
